1. Target Audience
anyone willing to have a taste of using linux
well, basic computer knowledge is supposed which means
- being able to use a computer like Windows comfortably
- being able to use a USB flash disk normally,
like storing some file on it and so on - being able to use the network comfortably,
at least know how to use a search engine and make sure your home wifi is on - no extreme disguise on hearing someone say "open the terminal/console"
but below are not acquired
- used linux before
(of course! Otherwise you are not a beginner!) - used command line tools like in a Windows Powershell before
well, as said, you may never used a terminal since you can do a lot using mouse in Windows already
but you shouldn't be reluctant on using one when told to
if so, linux is not your flavour, just stick on whatever you are cozy with
2. Warning
2.1. about the style
This tutortial starts at total beginner level,
but it does not mean easy Ubuntu Gnome install guide anyway.
And it is not a general linux guide,
but a personal tour guide, in my own flavour.
So you might and actually should search why yourself when I only say do.
Deciding whether a specular part should be followed is also your business.
I would of course try to cover why as far as I realized.
2.2. about the purpose
This tutortial is for personal pc usage only, with a keyboard, a displayer and a mouse.
I personally have no experience in public server security so if you are going in that direction,
get out as quickly as you can before my stupid guide destroy your business.
3. Enter the Portal When Ready!
the first part, Let's set up our first GNU/Linux System!
